On the eve of every major motor show, the Volkswagen Group steals a jump on the competition by staging its own mini motor show to reveal its big-hitters for the imminent event. Here are seven things you won’t have heard from Beijing’s ‘Group Night’. As soon as the floor was opened to journalists, the Chinese media made straight for the stunning new Lamborghini Huracan and Bugatti’s latest Veyron Vitesse Legends Edition, the ‘Black Bess’.
Daimler AG said it will invest $350 million to produce a fifth Mercedes-Benz model at its factory in Vance, Ala., starting in 2015. The investment will create an additional 400 jobs at the plant. The company did not provide details about the additional vehicle.
Citroen DS3 UK Details & Prices
We brought news of the Citroen DS3 Racing back in February and now, some six months on, Citroen has got round to sending us some concrete details and UK prices. Which are a bit of a surprise. The Citroen DS3 Racing is going to cost a hefty £23,100 (which as it won’t be hitting customers until early 2011 does include VAT at 20% – still steep though) when it arrives in 2011.
